Dump the zero and get with the hero

I could let the last post go awhile, but the writing is kind of on the wall. The vast majority really, really want The Cow as close to his full glory as possible if given the choice. Considering several hundred of you are going to have the chance to be within arms reach in the not-too-distant-future, it's in my best interest to keep you happy...
Margins be damned.. Five-color-Cow.
We can only go with one color, so please tell me which you prefer (Black, Navy, or Chocolate) and whether you prefer the outline or no, and I'll aggregate it. Within a day or so we'll roll, as these have to be gotten out the door or it'll be another year while I'm buried with talks and other things.
Please note: The Navy and Chocolate colors aren't exactly the best representation, I more wanted to give you an idea. In reality, the Navy shirt is quite dark, and the Chocolate shirt is darker than it might appear in your browser -- more like a Hershey bar -- and has enough texture I'm not worried about it blending with the cowch too much.
And yeah, the outline is a little thicker in real life, but you'll get the idea, especially on the Chocolate shirt.
Click for larger...
*Again, please remember the actual Navy and Chocolate are a bit darker, and more like their respective namesakes.
I know, I could just hand down a design and say "This is it." and away we go, but I make a deal out of trying to have you involved in some way when it makes sense. While the exact color/style you crave may not be what we end up going with, hopefully giving input before hand and knowing it was a factor will ease the pain a bit.

With the outline! Don't care too much about the color though: They're all good in my book.

navy, with. a v-neck would be preferable. all the 'roids have made my neck too thick for these puny round necks. (and i really hate the ones that seem to wish they were turtle necks, and crawl unnecessarily up your neck like some kind of cotton prepuce. ugh.)

Navy or Chocolate, I think both are good.
Everyone has got black t-shirts in their wardrobes , I think the Cow deserves something special! :-)

I vote navy with outline. Why no lighter color choices (white or heather, etc.)? Why does it half to be limited to one color; why not do a cafepress kind of thing and let people choose what they want?

P.S. No briefs on the couch now? What gives?

Navy w/o outline is my first choice. You do that and I'll being throwing my money at you.
The outline isn't such a big deal, but the color is. I agree with the above comment about the black, everybody has a black t-shirt, and besides, the brown couch goes better with the blue or dark brown.

Chocolate, no outline. Black is okay in a pinch, but if it's navy, I'll just set it on fire by mistake or accidentally wash the car with it.
Navy is right there with the yellow used on the walls of mental institutions to keep the inmates subdued.

I'd go without the outline, that'll be easier to register on press and doesn't particularly add to the design.
I prefer Navy, though Chocolate would be my second choice.
I'd recommend using the navy, and dropping out the color there, so it looks like the Cow is also wearing a Navy shirt. screen (say, 30-35% halftone dot) the brown ink from the couch to make the lighter "tan" color, then you have black, white, brown, and gray inks, and the appearance of a six-color design. You could do something similar with the brown depending on how dark the chocolate shirts are. I think they are lighter than you think (if you're getting them from the Hort).

chocolate without the line. the line is cheesy. of course i love cheese, but not on my shirts. but wait, cheese comes from milk and milk comes from cows. oh now i can't decide.

Black w/o outline, because black goes with anything.
But black fades. How immortal are these things intended to be?
Otherwise brown w/o outline might be nice.

You really need to implement some sort of polling software -- I truly doubt that comments (which are then e-mailed to you, filling up your inbox) really have the impact that a nice bar graph would.
Or even a pie chart.

Navy, I know these colors very well, the Navy is near black under certain lighting, its a nice compromise for those who do not like black shirts.
I would still toss in some of those wonderful athletic heather colored shirts, those are just the best color ever :-) You may want to even look at white, you would be surprised at how much difference in color there is in white ink and a white shirt, its a very cool effect.

Chocolate, as long as it's darker and has more texture than the image. If it's a bold chocolate like the image I wouldn't ever wear it.
I *think* no outline, but it's *really* hard to tell w/o a proof of what the shirt actually looks like. If the texture and color of the shirt is what I think it is, then the outline would look better. If the color is the same as the hershey's shirt you can get at the mall, then no outline is better.

If you need to save some cost you should be able to get away with 4 colors by putting a 30-40% screen of the couch color over a white base on the hooves and face.
