Aloha Cow
Ah, Hawaii. Kind of hard to think of a better way to spend a lazy Saturday. Warm sun, blue ocean, sandy beaches, girls with the brown eyes and coconut bikinis, and cocktails heavy on the rum.
And now, an inebriated Cow...
After seeing your Nanooo, Nanooo post of roughly two days ago, I decided to hold off on sending these pics as they would likely get lost in the upcoming fury of site silence. Five posts in two days later, I've decided you can't stay away from posting like a mad man and thus am forwarding them along.I recently had the opportunity to swing by the only Apple Store in Hawaii, which, as you may remember, is home to your good buddies at Maui X-Stream. Now, I know the Apple Store is on a completely different island than MXS, but it's as close as one can get.
Seeing that I had helped out a while back with the MXS mirroring, I figured what better chance to have the local Apple Store show their love for MXS then by slapping the double secret MXS thank you desktop on their 30" behemoth Cinema HD Display.
They were pretty quick at removing the picture from the desktop... I'd say it only took around four minutes or so, but regardless, I snapped a few pics. Feel free to do with them as you wish!
The Cow says, "Aloha!" from Hawaii!

Man, did this one make me smile. It's kind of nice to see a reader who's been around that long, let alone one of the ones who helped make the mirroring happen and still has the desktop picture to prove it. I remember him from the D-MXS days, when I asked for some help without even saying what it was, and all these people came out of the woodwork that weren't prone to leaving comments.
Once they knew what it was, ~99% of them were still down for it, even though the majority were Mac users and the software in question primarily had to do with an open source app on Windows. Words can't express, and those mirrors will always have a special place in my heart. We haven't really had any contact since, and it's kinda neat to know he's still around.
Actually, there was another guy over there who tried a Hawaiian phone number for me during all of that, and was filling me in some on the different island chains and where their stuff was situated...
Mmmm, coconut bikinis. Hawaiians are cool.

Ahh, Hawaii. My home. I'll take some more pictures when I go back in December.

that orange skirt is indeed distracting.

While I think the Apple Stores are very pretty, I do wish Apple would try to work in some of the local colour besides just the front of the store.

Been meaning to do this myself for a while, but I guess Knurdman's gone and beat me to it. No worries, and alo-o-o-ha!

Well, after traveling from the East coast to beat you there, I was so distracted by the sandy beaches full of coconut bikinis, rum laden drinks and the occasional orange skirt that I was only able to get one desktop in the store pegged with the cow. Though the cow seems to be quite the modest bovine, I doubt it would object to further Hawaiian glory.

I can't see around that orange skirt. Are there computers in that picture?
