The Woz quoted in newspaper regarding Tiger lawsuits
Richard writes:
Congratulations... you made Canada's national newspaper! National Post had a piece on this item yesterday. It was almost a full page in the front section. They referenced DrunkenBlog and they included a picture of Steve Wozniak.
Well, that explains all the emails ending in 'Eh?' today. If you're a subscriber to the National Post you can view the article online, but it would be cool to view this in hardcopy and it would be even cooler for you to be able to see it as it's very well done.
I was able to read the text, but I'm not going to tempt fate, or good taste, by posting it online... but it was amusing to see how some things get boiled down for a national audience. Hard job, I know I wouldn't want to try to describe IRC chats and such to my mum in one sentence.
Since the quote from The Woz that's in the article was also in my inbox and it gives some more insight into his thoughts:
I judge him to be a young, naive, honest person who had something valuable and made a bad judgement call. He withdrew stuff quickly and I truly believe that he didn't realize the severity of what he'd done. He is a young person who is not a criminal and shouldn't have his life horribly disrupted for it.
The one downside to quoting The Woz is that he invariably says what you would have said if you were smarter and less wordy.

DB - tell your readers I'll send them a jersey from the Washington baseball team for sending you a copy of a Canadian newspaper. :D

I hope Apple listens and finds a way to drop the matter. The RIAA has shown that suing your own customers is bad for everyone including Apple long term. Not even Microsoft does that, they know better.

If you were less wordy, it wouldn't have made the same impact. Sadly, conciseness is for those who have a prior reputation.
(watch everyone ignore this coz nobody knows me! :)

Fanboy much? :)
Cool quote from Wozniak, though I wonder if he is too much of an idealist for this world as it is today. I hope it does some the situation some good, but...
