waferbaby turns 10

waferbaby.com had its tenth anniversary the other day, and if you go check it out you can see a quote from myself and others with larger names than i. if you're curious as to what exactly waferbaby is, the truth is no one really quite knows.
it started as a personal site, and has sort of morphed over the years as he's let friends and others onto it into a sort of community-based alcove of whatever... most of it based in the south-eastern part of australia.
the site is just plain promiscuous, much like its proprietor, and over the years i kept bumping into it over and over until it stuck. again, much like its proprietor. it's still very hard to categorize, but it does have some signatures you catch onto after awhile, like said proprietor's rabid fear of capitalization.
it's run by daniel b, who did the pirate monkey doodle at the top of the 'my short-lived life as a pirate' post which my inbox said disturbed more than one of you, and is theoretically putting some work in on a new cow icon for the site eventually...
if you ever happen to run into him, he has a great story he loves to tell about employee #2 #0 of apple computer giving him the evil eye while on walkabout.
