Well, we have to do something while our code compiles...

Strange times at a technical school in a former russian state. Think old Red Hot Chili Pepper album + loopy from late night coding session + seemed like a good idea at the time + no one will ever see this. NSFW in any shape or fashion, and I'd have to imagine it's not going to be up for all that long.

Imagine a bunch of tech students, guys and girls (heavy on the guys), naked, but like with the RHCP video something covering up their nether regions. Except instead of socks, its computer hardware in some form. Highly odd.

Dude, please chill, yes he got it wrong and yes it is a good idea to point that out and provide links. But seriously calling people ignorant isn't the way forward.

it's nothing personal, but sometimes somtimes i'm just scared by how, ekhm, lacking in knowledge americans (or western europeans) are about history and geography. i mean, come on, it's right in the middle of europe, and usually anything they can come up with is 'commies', 'cold' or 'vodka' like it was somewhere in siberia. and prague is like 400km from munich.
i think i'll just shut up.

tomor - try using coral cache. just add .nyud.net:8090 to fotos' urls.
like this:

Um, guys. I easily know more about the rest of the world than 75 to 80% of Americans. Which means, on a relative scale, I know more than:
+ 90%+ of europeans know what the EU constitution is really about
+ etc. etc. etc.
It's just the way that information works. For some reason, I had it in my head that your republic used to be part of the Soviet block, I'll have to go back and see where I was wrong, thanks for the links.
And if one of you commentors actually goes to the school and was involved in the project, do me a favor and send me an email and we'll set something up about your story. Too amusing.

we WERE part of soviet bloc.
we WERE NOT part of soviet union.
soviet union consisted of soviet republics of russia (the huge one), ukraine (second biggest european country), belarus, moldova, the three baltic republics, *stahns and a couple of caucasian states. there were like 15 of 'em. central european and balkan countries (pretty much everything between western germany and ussr) were not part of soviet union, but were in soviet sphere of influence - members of warsaw pact, red army on their land, goverment installed by soviets etc. we were satellite states, although in theory we were independent and only allied w/ ussr. then, during a massive economic crisis in '89 (yet another one) poland revolted, but this time ussr decided not to send 'brotherly help' (tanks) as happend in czechoslovakia in '68 or hungary in '56. seeing that big brother is doing nothing, other satellite countries also revolted, berlin wall fell, etc. soviet union still existed untill falling apart in two years later.
and please don't get me started about eu constitution. executive summary: genarally good idea (i'm a federalist), but what is currently proposed is... horrible (RED tape gets a new meaning ;) ), especially for my country (less votes for us).
oh, and BTW, i'm a pole not a czech ;)
ps. did i mentioned that every girl in that part of the world is that cute? i'm serious.

i've just recently started reading your blog and it seems you are intrested in economy (studied it?). anyway THIS should be intresting for you. it's about globalization and a shift from central planing to free trade in the world economy. in other words - a history of XX century economy. you can download the whole film HERE.

Well, that's certainly pretty strange.
